Her new years resolutions are surprisingly

On her now defunct blog The Tig, in January 2016 she wrote: “Stop biting my nails. Stop swearing. Re-learn French. These make my New Year’s resolutions list nearly (AKA actually every) single year.”

Her first job was aged 13

She may be a super glam future princess now, but Meghan’s first job was way less glitzy. She worked at a yogurt shop for 4$ an hour, and one of her duties involved taking out the bins. We’re not so sure her future children will have to endure the same…

She broke the internet (almost!)

On the day of the engagement announcement to Prince Harry, her name was one in every 227 searches online (worldwide). Insane, right?

Her favourite dish to cook is roast chicken (yes, really!)

It’s no secret that the actress loves cooking, and she told Good Housekeeping: “There is nothing as delicious (or as impressive) as a perfectly roasted chicken. It’s a game changer. I bring that to dinner parties and make a lot of friends”. Prince Harry also proposed to her when they were roasting a chicken – how perfect.

As she told the BBC, her friend was setting her up on a blind date, and she simply asked “is he nice?”. She seriously just asked whether the fourth in line to the throne was nice. Awww!

Prince Harry knew she was “the one” from the moment he met her

At their first interview following their engagement, Prince Harry told the BBC that he knew Meghan markle was the one from “the very first time”. Awwww.

She wrote to Hillary Clinton to complain about sexism

According to the Telegraph, at the age of 11, Meghan wrote to First Lady Hillary Clinton to complain about a soap advertisement suggesting that a woman’s place was in the kitchen. The soap manufacturer actually changed the advert – way to go Meghan!

Her favourite beauty product is surprisingly affordable

Meghan told Beauty Banter that she uses NIVEA Q10 Firming Body Lotion “religiously”. She said “it’s honestly my favourite lotion on the market, it’s so affordable, and makes my skin look and feel amazing. I would buy a case of this at a time if I could find it.” Well, if it’s good enough for a princess…
She has an unusual skill

While auditioning for acting gigs, Meghan was a freelance calligrapher, telling Esquire it was her ‘pseudo waitressing job’. Might be very handy when writing wedding invitations…?

Meghan is only her middle name. She ironically shares her real birth name with the Suits character who shot her to fame: her full name is Rachel Meghan Markle.

Her childhood nickname was ‘Flower’

She revealed on her (now defunct) blog, The Tig that her mother used to call her ‘Flower’. She certainly lives up to it, posting many pretty pictures of blooms (we wonder how many are from Prince Harry!).
